Notes on Bearing Use

Rolling bearings are precision components and shall be handled with great care. Even high-quality bearings may fail to deliver expected performance if improperly used. The main notes for bearing operation are as follows:
(1) Keep the bearing and its surrounding environment clean. Tiny dust particles invisible to the naked eye can adversely affect bearings. Therefore, keep the surroundings clean to prevent dust from entering the bearing.

(2) Handle with caution during operation. Strong impact applied to bearings during use may cause scratches or other damage, which can further lead to bearing failure. In severe cases, Brinell indentation, chipping or cracks may occur.

(3) Use dedicated bearing tools. Special-purpose tools must be used; general tools should be avoided.

(4) Prevent bearing corrosion. Sweat from hands or other contaminants may cause rusting. Keep your hands clean when handling bearings, and wear gloves whenever possible. Take precautions against rust caused by corrosive gas.
